EDIS is a powerful statistical, analytical and mapping tool provided by the North Carolina Department of Commerce designed to aid economic and community development decision making. Use it to compile statistics from state and national data sources and then map that data to specific North Carolina communities and locations.

EDIS allows searches in five broad categories:

• County and State Reports (1500 + possible metrics)
• Maps (for buildings and specific locations)
• Businesses (search by NAICS codes)
• Labor Statistics (by industry segment)
• Top NC Employers (by county)
